| Giant clumping bamboo, not yet fully tested under different conditions; various clones are sometimes available (the hardiest: KR5287 (pictured) and KR7613). Hardy till -18 or more with protection. New upright growing culms are striking blue. Old culms bend to the ground and may be pruned. Borinda is a group of clumping bamboos, different from Fargesia, mainly growing in the Himalayas.
